The Department of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Resource Sustainability leads initiatives to restore ancestral agricultural practices, build tribal food independence, and pioneer hemp-based innovation through the IHEA (Indigenous Hemp Education Association). This page provides insight into our active agricultural programs and emerging bio-based economy.

How to Get Involved

Whether you are a tribal citizen, business, grower, or researcher:

1. Join the IHEA as a certified member

2. Volunteer at a local farm site or education program

3. Apply for access to cultivation training or hemp licensing

4. Propose a project under the Tribal Agricultural Innovation Fund
