Indigenous Hemp Education Association (IHEA)

Program Overview
Founded in 2018, the Indigenous Hemp Education Association (IHEA) is an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to reclaiming, restoring, and advancing the ancestral and modern knowledge of Indigenous hemp.
IHEA has a responsibility to educate, inform, and empower the public about the TRUE history, present applications, and future possibilities of the hemp plant—an ancient resource essential to Indigenous survival, innovation, and sustainability.
Our mission is to connect Indigenous sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, and advanced research into a unified platform for education, development, and global leadership in the emerging hemp economy.

Cultivate hemp under sovereign protections.
Engage in research and development activities unrestricted by THC caps or criminal suspicion.
Build private, Indigenous-led supply chains in agriculture, energy, construction, and technology.
Unlike traditional commercial hemp programs, IHEA empowers participants to restore tribal wealth, food security, and sovereignty through education, ownership, and innovation.
