Grounded in traditional principles of protection and community watch, this department ensures emergency readiness, disaster response, law enforcement coordination, and public preparedness while honoring Indigenous values of collective responsibility and restorative justice.

1. Peacekeeping & Law Enforcement Oversight

• Tribal Peacekeeping Corps recruitment and deployment

• Enforcement of tribal code and interagency coordination with external law enforcement

• Public patrols, civil mediation, and jurisdiction-based crime prevention

• Ethical training and restorative justice integration into public response

2. Fire & Rescue Operations

• Tribal Fire Services and Volunteer Brigades

• Fire prevention training and community safety education

• Coordination with rural fire departments for dual coverage

• Emergency equipment acquisition and grant development support

3. Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Response

• Emergency operations planning (EOP) for tribal lands and facilities
