The Department of Housing, Infrastructure & Public Works is responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of sustainable tribal infrastructure that reflects Indigenous values, ecological responsibility, and long-term resilience. This page highlights our strategies, projects, and priorities for developing sovereign, regenerative communities.

1. Tribal Housing Authority

Development of eco-friendly, culturally inspired housing

Priority housing for elders, veterans, and single-parent households

Use of hempcrete, thermal blocks, and natural insulation systems

Pathways for citizen-built, modular, and cooperative home ownership

2. Resilience Hub Infrastructure

Multi-use buildings serving as education, emergency, and cultural centers

Equipped with microgrid solar power, water storage, and air filtration systems

Each hub designed to operate 365 days a year with zero dependence on state utilities

3. Transportation & Mobility

Road and access upgrades to rural territories and tribal facilities

Tribal ride-share and electric shuttle pilot programs
