Welcome to the Department of Citizenship & Vital Records
This department serves as the guardian of identity and documentation for the Cheasequah Nation. Our mission is to protect, preserve, and verify the sovereign identity of each citizen and member through accurate records, status management, and tribal recognition protocols.

Divisions & Services
1. Citizenship and Tribal Membership Division
Processes all new citizenship and membership applications
Issues official Cheasequah Nation IDs (UCIN and UMIN)
Conducts tribal screening for lineage and ancestry
Manages appeals and grievances for citizenship status
2. Vital Statistics Office
Maintains and issues birth, death, marriage, and ancestry records
Certified copies available for $10 per copy (fee waiver eligible in hardship cases)
Ensures proper documentation for legal and ceremonial use
3. Status Correction & Tribal Identification Unit
Oversees name corrections, dual citizenship updates, and sovereign status reclassifications
Issues updated ID documentation upon approval
Accepts affidavits, court decisions, or tribal council resolutions as evidence
4. Screening & Registration Office
Handles initial tribal screening applications
Verifies lineage down to great-grandparents and ties to Choctaw, Cherokee, or Cheasequah heritage
Maintains secure registry and assigns Unique IDs (UCIN, UMIN)
5. Enrollment Management & Verification Services
Oversees full enrollment cycle (screening, course completion, final classification)
Manages secure digital database of all active citizens and members
Offers identity verification tools for outside agencies, employers, and tribal programs

Cheasequah Nation provides a secure public-facing tool to verify an individual's tribal status. By inputting a UCIN, UMIN, or UBIN, external agencies can confirm:
Membership or Citizenship validity
Tribal exemption status
ID authenticity
