The Department of Economic Sovereignty, Commerce & Sustainable Development oversees all business licensing, trade facilitation, and sovereign commercial activity for the Cheasequah Nation. This page provides resources and requirements for individuals, entities, and partners seeking to establish or operate a business under the jurisdiction of the Nation.

UBIN Registration (Unique Business Identification Number)
Vendor & Distributor Permits (IHEA Network & Internal Trade)
State or Federal Entity Verification Letters
Export/Import Clearance for Sovereign Trade Zones
Hemp-Related Commercial Licensing (under IHEA)
Trade & Commerce Zones
The Cheasequah Nation recognizes internal and external commerce:
Internal Trade – Businesses operating solely within tribal jurisdiction.
Inter-National Trade – Transactions between tribal and non-tribal jurisdictions, including U.S. and international partners.
Sovereign Trade Zones – Special economic areas for production, distribution, and logistics approved by Tribal Council.
How to Apply
Complete Business License Application Form (available May 10, 2025)
Submit Tribal Business Plan (template available upon request)
Provide proof of ID and citizenship or member status
Pay applicable licensing fee
Await review and approval (7–21 business days)
